The first of many 1MDB trials for Malaysia’s former leader Najib Razak could conclude as soon as November, as the judge is set to decide whether to call on the defense then.
The court will decide on Nov. 11 whether to have the former premier’s lawyers summon their witnesses or to move on to delivering a verdict on the seven corruption charges that form the basis of the current trial. The final witness ended his examination on Tuesday, after dozens of people including former ministers, central bank officials and bankers gave their testimonies in the trial that started in April.
