A former Georgetown University student dropped a lawsuit seeking to block the school from expelling him after his father bribed a tennis coach to get him admitted as a recruited athlete.

Just days before Adam Semprevivo sued in May, Stephen Semprevivo pleaded guilty to federal charges that he participated in a $400,000 bribery scheme. More than 30 other parents face similar charges of paying bribes to win admission to elite colleges.
