British workers have years to go before pay growth returns to 2008 levels

Britons are in the grip of an unprecedented 17 years of lost wage growth, according to the Resolution Foundation. Real earnings are on course to remain below their pre-crisis peak until 2025, the London-based think tank said in an analysis of the latest government forecasts. Director Torsten Bell said the downturn is now so long there is danger of ignoring just how “awful” it is.
