Temperatures at the Pyeongchang Olympic Games are plummeting well below the monthly average

The Pyeongchang Olympic Games are turning too cold for comfort. With average lows of minus 11 degrees Celsius (12.2 degrees Fahrenheit), they were in any case set to be the coldest since 1994. But the temperature has already dipped to as low as minus 25 accompanied by wind gusts of more than 45 miles per hour that have delayed some competitions and fueled concern over athletes’ safety.
