Trump Cabinet to Discuss Priorities Following Likely Tax Victory

GOP Expects House to Pass Tax Bill Today

President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with his Cabinet on Wednesday, two administration officials said.

The meeting comes as Congress is poised to hand the administration its first major legislative victory, in the form of the tax bill, as early as this week. The Cabinet is likely to discuss the president’s priorities following the tax overhaul, one of the people said.

An overhaul of federal welfare programs and a $1 trillion infrastructure initiative are among the chief policy initiatives the president has highlighted in recent months. Trump plans to release the long-promised infrastructure proposal in early January, a senior administration official has said.
