Swiss Economy May Have Had Best Quarter Since Franc Shock: Chart

Economic momentum in Switzerland probably gained pace in the third quarter, with data on Thursday forecast to show growth of 0.6 percent. That would be the best reading since late 2014, just before an exchange-rate shock that pummeled exporters and weighed on expansion. In recent quarters, economists have overestimated growth in Switzerland, which is one of the world’s most complex economies.
