Journalist Tatiana Felgengauer was stabbed in the throat with a knife by a man who burst into the downtown Moscow offices of Russia’s main independent radio station, the broadcaster reported.

Felgengauer was taken to the hospital for treatment to injuries that aren’t life-threatening, the Ekho Moskvy radio station, which is often critical of Russian authorities, said on its website Monday. The unidentified attacker was detained by security guards and handed to police, according to the statement.

Investigators are examining whether a personal conflict may have been the motive for the attack, the RIA Novosti news service reported, citing an unidentified law-enforcement official.
