Traders' Bets on Likely Fed Hike This Year Climb Again: Chart

When Janet Yellen speaks, Wall Street listens. On Tuesday, the Fed Chairman said "it would be imprudent to keep monetary policy on hold until inflation is back to 2 percent," reinforcing the Fed’s forecast released last week that showed most members expect one additional rate hike this year. The odds of another increase, based on Fed funds futures, moved higher to about 68 percent. The probability was as low as 22 percent on Sept. 8.
