Rudd Says Not Helpful for Trump to Speculate on U.K. Bomb Probe

U.K. Home Secretary Amber Rudd said speculation by U.S. President Donald Trump over Friday’s commuter train bombing in west London is unhelpful while police continue to investigate the attack.

“It’s never helpful to have speculation about an ongoing investigation and I would include the president of the United States in that,” Rudd said Sunday in an interview on the BBC’s “Andrew Marr Show.”

Trump tweeted on Friday that the bomber was “in the sights of Scotland Yard,” a statement that U.K. authorities said was not based on any security detail shared with the U.S.

Two people have been arrested as part of the probe into the attack, which injured passengers on a train at Parsons Green.
