Italy Economy Picks Up But Pre-Crisis Level Not in Sight: Chart

The Italian economy is on the mend with industrial production, exports, employment and business confidence rising. Yet, with expected annual growth of 1.2 percent in 2017 and 1 percent in each of the two following years, it will remain below the pre-crisis level of a decade ago. Gross domestic product probably expanded 0.4 percent in the second quarter from the previous three months, according to analyst estimates before the official figure on Wednesday.
