Indian Stocks Mojo May Wane as Deliverable Trades Decline: Chart

The bull run that pushed Indian equities to multiple records is starting to look tired. The 50-day average of stock deliveries, or number of shares deposited into buyers’ accounts as a proportion of the total traded, has fallen to the lowest level since September even as the rally propelled the $2 trillion market to rival Germany and Canada in size. The low delivery percentage amid rising share values indicate the momentum may wane, said Anita Gandhi, a director at Mumbai-based Arihant Capital Ltd.
