Trig Completes $29 Million Acquisition of Scottish Wind Farm

The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd. said it completed the acquisition of a 10-megawatt wind farm in East Renfrewshire, Scotland for 22.6 million pounds ($29.3 million).

Trig bought the Neilston Community Wind Farm from private developer Carbon Free and Neilston Development Trust without any third-party project debt, according to a statement on Tuesday.

The investment was financed from proceeds of a recent equity raising under Trig’s share issuance program and increases its portfolio to 54 projects with an aggregate net generating capacity of 720 megawatts, according to the statement.

The project uses four Nordex N90 wind turbines, according to the statement.
