Twitter Surges After Better-Than-Expected Net User Adds

Twitter Inc. is showing signs of new life after reporting monthly active users jumped more than expected. The 9 million net adds was the biggest quarter-over-quarter increase in two years. Subscriber growth rose 6 percent from the year-ago period to 328 million. Twitter shares surged as much as 12 percent on Wednesday, the most in seven months, despite reporting its first decline in quarterly revenue since going public in 2013.
