Mums Are in for a Treat as Britons Set to Spend Record: Chart

Mothers’ Day spending in the U.K. is set to reach record levels this weekend as Britons show their love for mum. More kids than ever are leaving it until the day itself to get that last-minute bunch of flowers or box of chocolates, according to research conducted by Lloyds Banking Group Plc’s Halifax unit. Total spending on the Sunday reached 19 million pounds ($23.7 million) last year, up 6 percent on an annual basis, the research shows.
