China's Rising Hunger Holds Key to Brazil's Beef Exports: Chart

Brazil’s beef exports last year were valued at $5.52 billion, about a third of which went to Greater China, with shipments to Hong Kong taking a larger proportion than the mainland, according to meat export group Abiec. Shipments to the next-largest markets -- Egypt, Russia and Iran -- each fell in 2016, declines that were about offset by a rise in exports to China.
