Russia Stock ETF Sees First Outflow Since Trump Election: Chart

The world’s biggest exchange-traded fund that tracks Russian equities is signaling that investor optimism is fading over the prospect for sanctions relief under U.S. President Donald Trump. Traders pulled $8.6 million from the VanEck Vectors Russia ETF on Tuesday, the first outflow since Trump’s surprise election win on Nov. 8. Russia’s benchmark Micex Index has retreated this month as senior Republican senators intensify calls on Trump to keep sanctions in place.
