Russia May Ease EU Gas Grip as Gazprom Price Recovers: Chart

Russian oil-indexed natural gas is becoming more expensive in Europe and may match spot rates as soon as this month, according to estimates by the Russian regulator. Gas from state-run Gazprom PJSC will probably cost more than spot fuel by summer, and the company faces a “turning point” by next year when competition with liquefied natural gas, including from the U.S., will intensify, said Deutsche Bank AG analyst Pavel Kushnir.
