Tequila Maker’s $6 Billion Value Pales vs Diageo, Moutai

After last week’s trading debut of Jose Cuervo, the world’s largest tequila maker is worth $6.35 billion, ranking it near the middle of the Bloomberg Intelligence Global Spirits Competitive Peer Group Index. Jack Daniel’s owner Brown-Forman Corp. is the only North American company in the 16-member gauge, which includes 10 alcoholic beverage producers from Asia, led by China’s Kweichow Moutai Co. London-based Diageo Plc, maker of Johnnie Walker products, is by far the largest with a $71 billion market.
