SNB’s Foreign Currency Holdings Dip as Dollar Weakens: Chart

The Swiss National Bank’s holdings of foreign currencies dropped 0.3 percent to 643.7 billion francs ($644 billion) in January, a month the dollar weakened against the franc. SNB spokeswoman Silvia Oppliger declined to comment on the change. In the past, the SNB’s reserves have risen due to the interventions it waged to weaken the Swiss currency.
