Undeterred, Global Investors Still Buying Mexican Bonds: Chart

Global investors continue to buy Mexico’s peso-denominated sovereign bonds despite a 15 percent slide in the currency against the U.S. dollar since the election and amid prospects of higher rates. Traders increased their holdings by 112 billion pesos since Donald Trump’s victory, according to central bank data through Jan. 12.
