Pound Slides as U.K. Retail Sales Drop Most Since 2012: Chart

The pound declined against the dollar after a report showed U.K. retail sales fell at the fastest pace in almost five years in December. Sterling has pared its weekly advance to 1 percent after rallying more than 3 percent on Tuesday, the most since 1993.
