Too Few Tied Premier League Games Bring Bookmaker Misery: Chart

A lack of tied Premier League soccer games made December a month to forget for U.K. bookmakers including Ladbrokes Coral Plc and William Hill Plc. Most gamblers prefer to wager on one team winning, meaning the draw is usually a good result for the bookies. In December and the first day of January only seven out of 60 games ended all square, about half the number that oddsmakers would normally expect, with the penultimate week of 2016 being the worst of the year for Ladbrokes’ soccer business.
