Switzerland is famously expensive, and this extends to the World Economic Forum: its top category of corporate membership stands at 600,000 francs ($595,000) annually. Revenue from partnerships -- the corporations and consulting firms that take center stage at Davos -- was up 25 percent over the previous year. Memberships and participation income was flat but the WEF enjoyed an overall increase of 14 percent.
