Prying eyes are watching Airbnb customers as tenants fight back. Airbnb disputes that home-sharing has significantly reduced affordable housing, but recently it has taken steps to comfort officials. It may be a sign that aggressive steps by tenants–including hiring private investigators to stake out units for evidence of short-term rentals–are swaying the debate.
