Czech two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova was wounded by a knife-wielding attacker in her apartment in her native town of Prostejov on Tuesday morning, Lidove Noviny newspaper reported, citing her spokesman Karel Tejkal.

The 26-years-old tennis player was taken to a hospital and treated for injuries on her left arm, which aren’t life-threatening, according to the report. The attack was probably a robbery attempt, Tejkal said.
