Germany Imports Christmas From Northern European Neighbor: ChartBy
Christmas in Germany would possibly be a little less festive if it wasn’t for some Danish help. More than 90 percent of the 2.5 million festive firs brought into Europe’s largest economy last year came from its Northern European neighbor, according to data from Germany’s Federal Statistics Office. Net imports of trees fell to the lowest level since 2008.
