U.K. Companies Worry Brexit Will Worsen Skills Shortage: Chart

As U.K. companies lobby the government to ensure their interests aren’t damaged in the Brexit negotiations, the ability to bring in skilled workers from abroad is proving as important an issue as unhindered access to the single market. There’s a reason for that, with the REC jobs index showing that the supply of workers has been declining for more than three years. Chief Executive Kevin Green said this week that imposing new restrictions on foreign workers “will impact businesses’ ability to meet demand as well as the delivery of public services.”
