Renewable-energy stocks slumped after Donald Trump, a self-professed climate skeptic, was elected president of the U.S. The billionaire and reality TV-star has tweeted that he believes global warming is a hoax created by China and in July lost a two-year legal battle to get an offshore wind farm canceled near a golf course he owns in Scotland. Indexes tracking solar, wind and new-energy companies globally had their biggest drops in almost six months on Wednesday.
