Services imports climbed in August as charges for the use of intellectual property jumped to a record $4.5 billion, Commerce Department data showed Wednesday. The temporary boost from rights fees to broadcast the event is typical of months when the summer or winter games are held. The overall trade gap widened to $40.7 billion.
