Allianz’s Berlin Base Said for Sale for More Than $337 Million

Allianz SE’s new headquarters in Berlin was offered for sale for more than 300 million euros ($337 million) by its developers, according to two people with knowledge of the plan.

Colliers International Group Inc. has been appointed to broker a sale of the 60,000 square-meter (646,000 square-foot) campus, which is currently under construction, the people said, asking not to be identified because the plan is private. The campus is being developed by a venture between Corpus Sireo Real Estate and Heidelberg-based FOM Real Estate.

Spokeswomen for Corpus Sireo, the German property arm of Swiss Life AG’s asset-management unit and Colliers declined to comment. FOM also declined to comment. A spokesman for Munich-based Allianz said Europe’s largest insurer has signed a 15-year lease for the property and declined to comment further.

About $10.7 billion was invested in the Berlin commercial property market in the 12 months through June, according to broker Cushman & Wakefield Inc. Allianz will move staff from its current Berlin office at the Treptowers complex after the three buildings are completed in 2019, according to a September statement by Corpus Sireo.
