Sarkozy Pledges EU100B Spending Cuts And EU40B Tax Cuts: Figaro

France’s former president Nicolas Sarkozy, who is campaigning for the country’s 2017 presidential election, outlined tax and spending plans in an interview with Le Figaro released Monday.

Sarkozy pledged a 100 billion euro cut in public spending and cutting taxes by 40 billion euros in the interview. He added that the state should cut shareholdings in some companies and that government employees should work 37 rather than 35 hours a week.
