Spain Inflation Reappears After Two Years of Price Drops: Chart

Spanish politicians struggling to form a new government can at least find some solace in the latest inflation data. Consumer prices rose on an annual basis in September for the first time since May 2014, according to data from the National Statistics Institute on Thursday. A very slow inflation uptick is occurring not just in Spain, with euro-wide data on Friday forecast to show a 0.4 percent rate, the fastest since 2014.
