Nuclear Woes Push French Power to Biggest Jump Since 2010: Chart

French year-ahead power prices rose 8.3 percent last week, the biggest increase since January 2010, after Electricite de France SA cut its forecast for nuclear output amid prolonged outages. EDF operates 58 French reactors that generate about 73 percent of the country’s electricity. On Thursday the company delayed the start of two reactors at its Tricastin nuclear power station in the south until year-end, pushing prices to a nine-month high.
