All Eyes on the Fed as Europe Stocks Take Cues From U.S.: ChartBy
Even though U.S. and European shares moved in opposite directions last week, the longer-term correlation between the Stoxx Europe 600 Index and the S&P 500 Index remains near a four-year high before a Federal Reserve rate decision. While economists and traders aren’t pricing a hike for later Wednesday, Deutsche Bank AG analysts warned in recent reports that weaker global growth and a rise in U.S. borrowing costs may drag down both European and U.S. shares.
