Second Western Australia Minister Quits Cabinet, Times Reports

Western Australian Transport Minister Dean Nalder became the second lawmaker to resign from the Cabinet, saying Premier Colin Barnett has lost his support, the Sunday Times reported on its website.

Nalder had become frustrated at Barnett for “erratic and illogical” decisions taken without consultation with ministers or the Cabinet, Nalder said, according to the newspaper.

Nalder may contest the party leadership if the position becomes vacant, the Sunday Times said. He follows Tony Simpson who resigned yesterday, after claiming to have lost confidence in Barnett.
