Former ITT Tech Students Launch Debt Strike

More than 100 former students at the now-shuttered for-profit school are refusing to make payments on their federal loans, in protest against what they consider the feds' negligence.

Visitors found the doors to the ITT Technical Institute campus in Rancho Cordova closed after ITT Educational Services announced that the school had ceased operating, on Sept. 6.

More than 100 former students of now-shuttered ITT Technical Institutes announced Wednesday they'll no longer make payments on their federal student loans, part of a small but growing revolt against what they call the Obama administration's negligence in policing for-profit colleges.
