Ford Sees Profit Declining This Year After Expanded Recall

Ford Motor Co. said pretax profit will probably decline this year after a safety recall.

Adjusted pretax profit will be about $10.2 billion this year, the company said in a statement Wedneday. The change “reflects the recent expansion of a recall requested by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,” Ford said.

Results overall will probably decline in 2017 amid growing investments before improving in 2018.
