French Jets Destroy Islamic State Arms Storage Facility in Syria

French air strikes on Aug. 21 destroyed a facility used by IS for the storage and maintenance of heavy weapons in Raqqa in Syria, the French Defense Ministry said on its website.

The raid follows weeks of intense strikes to support Iraqi and Kurd ground forces and is part of preparations to recapture Raqqa, as well as Mosul in Iraq, according to the statement.
