Canadian Wholesale Sales Beat Estimates on Automotive Increase

Canadian wholesale sales rose more than economists expected in June on gains in the automotive industry.

Wholesale sales rose 0.7 percent from a month earlier, outpacing the 0.1 percent median estimate of nine economists in a Bloomberg survey. The motor vehicles and parts category was the biggest contributor to the increase, climbing 3.1 percent in June.
