From Aluminum to Zinc, All Metals See First-Half Deficits: Chart

All six main industrial metals -- copper, aluminum, nickel, zinc, lead and tin -- had deficits in the first half of the year, according to figures from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics. The London Metal Exchange’s LMEX Index, which tracks their performance in a single gauge, has risen 9.5 percent so far in 2016, rebounding after three years of losses. Zinc has led advances with a rally of more than 40 percent, while copper and lead lagged far behind.
