Is the IPO pump for technology companies being primed for a deluge? Bloomberg Gadfly’s Shira Ovide thinks so. Only four U.S. tech startups backed by venture capital firms have gone public so far this year -- a sharp drop from the more than 50 in 2014 -- with about 170 "unicorns" (private companies valued at $1 billion or more) waiting on the sidelines, which will eventually go public, get sold or undergo a painful bust.
