Barrack Slaps Wrist of ‘Amateur’ U.S. Property Investors: ChartBy
Colony Capital Inc. Chairman Tom Barrack raised a red flag on U.S. real estate yesterday. “Amateurs are playing” in it and that’s lending the market the feel of a bubble (“bubblicious” to be exact). In case you missed it: Moody’s/RCA Commercial Property Price Indices’ national all-property composite gained 2.6 percent in June, the last month for which data is available, to a level almost double the measure’s last trough, in January 2010.
