Lungu Leads in Zambia Vote With 44% of Areas Counted

Following are latest verified results from Zambia’s Aug. 11 presidential election, released by the nation’s electoral commission in the capital, Lusaka.

The table shows support for the two leading candidates -- incumbent Edgar Lungu and main challenger Hakainde Hichilema. Total valid votes counted is 1,372,595.
