Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, seeking to right his campaign after a series of stumbles coming out of the party’s convention last month, plans a major economic policy speech in Detroit.

U.S. retail sales probably kept climbing in July after the strongest quarterly advance for consumer spending since the end of 2014, figures this week are projected to show.

  • U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump plans to deliver a speech on economic policy to the Detroit Economic Club, a forum that has been used by other candidates. The event is at noon EDT. His blueprint envisions one of the biggest tax cuts since the Reagan administration, adviser Stephen Moore said.
