Turkish Central Bank Cash Cheapest in More Than a Year: Chart

After cutting borrowing costs at every meeting since March, policy makers have dragged the cost of liquidity from the central bank to below 8 percent for the first time in more than a year. The bank has slashed its overnight lending rate by a total of 200 basis points, bringing the weighted average cost of funding for lenders down by more than a 100 basis points from a February peak to the lowest since April 2015.
