Jump Trading’s Head of Options Is Said to Leave the Company

CJ Shen, head of options at Jump Trading LLC, has left the company, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Shen had worked at Jump since 2013, joining after working at Merrill Lynch & Co. and Credit Suisse Group AG, according to his LinkedIn profile. Carissa Felger, a spokeswoman for Jump, declined to comment. Attempts to reach Shen were unsuccessful.

Jump is one of the giants among Chicago-based trading firms. It’s a major customer at CME Group Inc., which runs the world’s biggest futures exchange, and Risk.net published a list last year showing it was a top trader of U.S. Treasuries. The secretive automated trading firm was founded by former Chicago Mercantile Exchange pit traders Bill DiSomma and Paul Gurinas in the 1990s.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
