Man Group Names Luke Ellis as CEO to Replace Departing Roman

Man Group Plc, the world’s largest publicly traded hedge fund manager, named Luke Ellis as chief executive officer, succeeding Emmanuel Roman. Roman will join PIMCO as CEO from Nov. 1.

Ellis, currently president of the firm, is responsible for managing Man Group’s four investment units.

“I would like to thank Manny for his leadership and for all he has done for Man Group; he leaves a much stronger, more resilient business than the one he took on,” chairman Ian Livingston said in the statement. “During his tenure as CEO, Man Group has successfully restructured and diversified and he has put in place an excellent management team.”
