Gloomy Post-Brexit Outlook in Larger Euro-Area Economies: Chart

Economists lowered their forecasts for growth this year and next year in the euro area’s four largest economies after the U.K. voted to leave the European Union, according to a survey conducted July 7-15. The biggest impact on 2017 growth will be in France, whose forecasts were revised to 1.1 percent from 1.5 percent. Germany will see the biggest impact this year and forecasts have been revised to 1.5 percent from 1.7 percent previously.
