Line Jumps in U.S. Debut as Investors Cheer IPO

Line Corp. is surging in its Tokyo debut after a 27 percent rally in its first trading day in New York. The messaging company this month pulled off the largest technology initial public offering of the year, raising more than $1 billion. The Tokyo shares opened at 4,900 yen, 48 percent above the IPO price.
