Dior Hires Valentino’s Chiuri as First Female Artistic Director

Christian Dior appointed Maria Grazia Chiuri as the first female artistic director in its 70-year history.

Chiuri joins the LVMH-owned fashion label after leaving Valentino, where she spent more than a decade, becoming co-creative director in 2008. She replaces Raf Simons, who left last year. Dior announced the appointment on its Twitter account Friday.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
